READY TO SERVE. The staff at Home Care Oxygen Service, from left, Suzanne Hall, Joanne Miners and Jodie Evans, are ready to offer the latest in products and service.

They’ve been serving Muskoka for over 30 years and now they’re getting even bigger and better.

Home Care Oxygen Service has always been a family-owned business and for the past year, Jodie and Randy Evans have taken the lead role as owners.

Since then, the business has seen some big changes.

While Home Care Oxygen continues to offer comprehensive service to the Bracebridge and Gravenhurst area, they have also expanded to include daily delivery service to Huntsville.

Home Care Oxygen has also greatly expanded their line of products and services, with 24-hour emergency service and a registered respiratory therapist and registered practical nurse on staff.

“We provide regular and thorough follow-ups by the professional staff,” said Jodie. “We form an integral part of the health-care team, and serve as liaisons with family doctors and nurses.”

One of the most exciting products being offered at Home Care Oxygen is the latest portable oxygen concentrator.

“It’s smaller than a coffee maker and weighs less than 10 pounds,” said Jodie. “It’s very easy to operate. It can be used in your car, your home and even has adapters to be used on an airplane.”

Another new device is the Homefill II by Invacare, which allows clients to refill their own oxygen cylinders at home.

“These new products allow patients to optimize their independence and their ability to stay active,” said Jodie.
