Nov. 30: Festival of Lights, 6 p.m. at Bird’s Mill Mews. Jam Sandwich concert, free hot chocolate and popcorn, face painting and more.

Dec. 2: SANTA CLAUS PARADE, 1 p.m. on Manitoba Street. Come along and see St. Nick! Floats, bands and fun for all.

Dec. 3: PUBLIC CONSULTATION, 1 to 3 p.m. at 173 Manitoba St. Muskoka-Parry Sound Community Mental Health Service invites interested parties to participate in the development of the 2008/09 objectives for its Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care funded programs and functions. Gravenhurst

Dec. 1: GRAVENHURST FARMERS’ MARKET CHRISTMAS SHOW AND SALE, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gravenhurst Centennial Centre. Featuring artists and artisans plus 40 vendors offering fruit, vegetables, baking, maple syrup, smoked buffalo meat.

Dec. 3: SEVERN BRIDGE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE LUNCHEON, with meat pies, cranberry apple crisp and beverages for $6. Join them for good food and some Christmas cheer.

Dec. 6: Meeting of THE GRAVENHURST BLANK PAGE WRITERS’ GROUP, featuring author John Forrest who will speak about the challenges of publishing, 7 p.m. in Gravenhurst Public Library. The public is invited.

Dec. 8: KRINGLEFEST AT MUSKOKA WHARF. Special guests Santa, Frosty, Rudolf and the Elves. Christmas carols, a pirate theme with Captain Hook on-board and a live presentation of “Princess and the Pirate.” Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre is hosting the Holly & Ivy Art & Artisan Show featuring members of Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour.

Nov. 30: FISH & CHIPS, every Friday at the Port Carling legion, 5:30 p.m.
