Pull out your mittens and put on your elf hat, the 14th Annual Festival of Lights is coming to town on Friday, Nov. 30. Bring the whole family to start off the holiday season fun and to get into the festive spirit in time for the parade on Sunday.
The festivities start at 6 p.m. with a live Jam Sandwich concert, free hot chocolate and popcorn, face painting, balloon animals, giveaways and more.
This is the perfect time for children to have their photo taken with Santa, and our special photographers will e-mail your pictures to you at home. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa, which can be mailed in Santa’s magical mailbox.
This year, the Festival of Lights has partnered with the Moose 99.5 FM Toy Drive. Families are invited to spread holiday cheer by bringing a donation or an unwrapped toy for the drive.
As part of the festival, a poster contest was conducted in local elementary schools. Check out the posters around town, and join the Festival of Lights committee at the event in congratulating the winners. The winning posters are appearing in the Nov. 28 edition of the Bracebridge Examiner.
