Muskoka Mobility is reinforcing its new location in Gravenhurst with a new commercial building to be constructed at 950 Muskoka Rd. South.
Cynthia Bailey and Bette Dellandrea applied to the town’s committee of adjustment for relief from the rear yard setback on the property in order to construct a 1,873-square-foot building at the back of the property located beside Ratcliff Auto Body.
The minor variance application seeks to reduce the rear yard setback to 9.8 feet from the required 24.6 feet for the building that will become the new home of Muskoka Mobility.
The business is currently operating from a dwelling on the property, explained senior planner Nick Popovich. The garage on the property will be demolished and the dwelling will be returned to a residential use, Popovich added.
Committee member Sandy Cairns congratulated Bailey on her growing business, expressing appreciation for the service she provides for seniors and people in the area with disabilities.
“I noticed you widened your driveway too, which I think really helps,” said Cairns. “Good luck.”
The committee of adjustment approved the minor variance Feb. 26 for the reduced setback.
