Is Canada becoming a ‘slave’ to the United States?
Mar 05, 2008

It started with Brian Mulroney.

The dismantling of our social network. The very thing that gave Canadians a sense of security instead of a sense of fear. A sense of harmony and social justice, a kinder, gentler, more intellectual society.

The reason? To harmonize ourselves with Washington’s “meaner and leaner”, “dog eat dog”, “me first if I can get it all, too bad for you” social credo.

The legacy? Homelessness in numbers we’ve never seen before, more fear based and egocentric, greed motivated population. More violent crime, a huge national debt, and a transition of a voter-based control to a corporate-based control of our economy.

We are very quickly adopting a “master-slave” relationship with corporate America. I don’t think I have to suggest who the “slaves” are.

The questions we now need to ask are:

Is Stephen Harper and his Conservatives another group of fifth columnists working to sell Canada out even further in hopes of making us the 51st state?

Are we about to drain money from our universal health-care system, which Washington has never liked, to consequently lose it in favour of a more capable, blood-thirsty military that Washington would just love?

Are we being drawn by corporate greed into economic collapse, consequently WWII?

If you’d like to have a small glimpse into your possible future and what the powers to be may have in store for you, then rent, beg, borrow or buy the movie Sicko by Michael Moore, a very disillusioned American.

If you’d like to see what another disillusioned American thinks, look up Michael Papantonio or Air America on the Internet.

They will make even the most ardent fifth columnist rethink their position.
