Lots of help made fundraiser a great success
Mar 19, 2008

I am writing with one simple purpose: to thank everyone who made the “Carin’ for Aaron” fundraising spaghetti supper at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church possible.

Through the combination of donations from businesses and the generous gifts of those who attended, we were able to raise $1,800 for Aaron Lillie.

Saying thank-you is always a dangerous task, running the risk of forgetting someone! But special thanks are owed to the two businesses who supplied the delicious focaccia bread and produce. The list of people who helped organize and run the dinner is probably too long to mention everyone by name, but I do want to thank Ken and Della Lovelock, Sandy Rachky and Rick Lees for sharing their culinary gifts, and Jennifer Lever and her team of young people who cheerfully served tables.

Finally, thank you to Aaron and his family for joining us at the dinner. You continue to be in the thoughts and prayers of our congregation here at St. Thomas. It was heartwarming to see the generosity and community spirit on display at this dinner.

Thank you all for your support.
