Seniors Jubilee looking for acts
Mar 19, 2008

Ontario’s talented 50+ entertainers will be given the opportunity to shine in Chartwell’s Seniors Jubilee, Aug. 12 to 15 at Roy Thomson Hall.

Singers, dancers, comedians, musicians, cabaret and novelty acts across Ontario are invited to submit audition applications for the 20th anniversary Jubilee musical variety show production. Auditions are beginning now and the application deadline is April 30.

Whether you’re a solo singer or part of a duet, trio, quartet or choir, a dancer with a chorus line, a folk or clogging troupe, a comedian, a magician or you play in a band, the 2008 Jubilee will provide an extraordinary experience for more than 1,300 older performers from communities across the province, as well as for the thousands of audience members from across Ontario, Canada, U.S.A. and tourists from abroad.

Audiences will dance to live bands, sing along with choirs and enjoy continuous performances, wandering minstrels and a little magic during the Jubilee shows that kick off at 11 a.m. each morning in the Roy Thomson Hall lobbies. At 1 p.m. the spectacular variety show gets underway on the theatre stage. Each day’s show features a different program lineup.

Audition applications are accepted by mail, telephone, fax or e-mail. To arrange an audition provide your name (name of act), address, telephone number and brief description of the act and submit to: Chartwell’s Seniors Jubilee, Attn: G.
