Vote reflects Clement’s personal view
Apr 02, 2008

I would suggest, contrary to Henry Fox’s note that Tony Clement votes as his constituents would have him to, that as Laurie Fountain says, he doesn’t know us.

I suggest his “nay” vote in parliament, on the motion to extend to the world the reminder of Canada’s abhorrence of the death penalty, does indeed reflect his own personal view, and has little to do with the views of Parry Sound-Muskokans.

It is shameful and embarrassing that he was one of a mere 17 of our representatives who voted negatively on this motion.
