April 2: The CANADIAN FEDERATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN – MUSKOKA meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Bracebridge United Church. Info: 687-2157.

April 3: SPIRIT CAFÉ, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The Muskoka Bean, Manitoba St. at Taylor Rd. Monthly gathering for good company, refreshment and lively open-minded discussion on issues of faith, meaning and life’s big questions. Topic: What is your world view or story that frames your view of life?

April 4 & 5: KARAOKE CONTEST, $1000 first prize. Qualifying rounds 10 to 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday at the Purple Pig. Registration $5 per singer.

April 2 & 3: KARAOKE CONTEST, $1000 first prize. Qualifying rounds 10 to 11 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday at KJ’s Albion. Registration $5 per singer. Bring your friends — singers qualify by crowd response.

April 3: INTERACTIVE WORK­SHOP ABOUT STRESS: what is it, what we can learn from it, and how to transform it, with Dr. Barbara Cowan, ND. Learn stress reduction techniques.
