October 28, 1928 – March 27, 2008

Don Jones passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 27, 2008 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

Born in Toronto on October 28, 1928, Don married the late Helen (Copeland) Jones in 1948 in Toronto. He moved to Bracebridge in 1969 and built Allport Marina on Beaumont Drive.

Don loved the marina business and all his customers. He also loved to fly, owning his own plane. He travelled all across the country and enjoyed every minute he spent in the air.

Don lived with his daughter Brenda (Haight) Atkinson until 1995 when he moved to Brett Lake near Foleyet. As his health failed, he moved to the village of Foleyet.

I love you Dad and I miss you already. I miss our daily phone calls and long talks. Mom is waiting for you.
