Bracebridge Sportsplex played host to the Georgian Bay Secondary Schools Association gymnastics competition last week.
Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School was the overall school award champions, which takes the top four scores on every event from all levels.
The BMLSS junior team was also crowned the champions in their level.
Three BMLSS athletes won their level championships: level 1 – Katie Featherstone; level 5 – Vienna Goldthorp; and level 6 – Natalie Kruger.
Level 1
Katie Featherstone (Grade 9): vault – 4th; bars – 3rd; beam – 5th; floor – 1st; and overall – 1st.
Basia Lepingwell (Grade 9): bars – 4th; beam – 6th; overall – 5th.
Taylor Little (Grade 9): bars – 1st; floor – 4th.
Laurel Patterson (Grade 12): beam – 3rd; overall – 6th.
Jesse Heichert (Grade 9): bars – 5th.
Kathleen Spencer (Grade 12): bars – 6th.

Brittany Major (Grade 10): vault – 3rd; bars – 4th; beam – 5th; floor – 2nd; overall – 3rd.
