The Earth is in your hands

What is going on? Our summers are getting hotter, winters are getting colder, and we’re destroying our planet! We are being greedy and selfish for our money. Some people just don’t care.

Our towns are either flooded with mud or water, due to global warming. We need to do something now! Everyone knows that money is made from trees. If we don’t help the trees and everything else there will be no money, no homes, no apples, bananas, oranges, good clothing and more.

There is the exact same amount of water as there was three billion years ago. If we keep polluting the water, then the water is going to go bad and then what are we doing to do?

I’ll tell you what were going to do; everyone is going to smarten up and it will be too late because we’ll all be dead. Then what are we going to do after that?

There are many ways to help our environment like not using electrical appliances when you can easily do by hand, such as opening cans. You can start using cold water for your washing machine, use reusable containers, turn off lights that you don’t need, and when you’re using something that uses power you can turn them off too. Instead of throwing out your old clothing you can donate them to charity or thrift shops. Those are just a few things that you can start to do in your home.

You can start a compost pile, pull weeds instead of using herbicides, take extra rubber and plastic pots back to the nursery, use mulch to conserve water in your garden, carpool if possible, and use public transportation whenever you can. On weekends you can ride your bike or walk to close places instead of using your car, recycle your engine oil, recycle paper, give money to conserving projects, help plant trees and build birdhouses. There are so many ways to help out and anyone can change the future.

You’re destroying the home that your kids are going to inherit, and nobody wants a polluted home like what it’s going to be if we keep doing what we already are.

Remember, the little things count. How can you help?
