(John) Arnold Lockhart died peacefully on October 18, 2007 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge in his 80th year.
Beloved husband of Patricia Lockhart of Gravenhurst. Dear father to Linda Kraliz of Welland, Marilyn (Bruno Koscak) Lockhart of Gravenhurst and Sandy (Paul Kupferschmidt) Lockhart of Gravenhurst. Beloved brother to Anne McKittrick of Kitchener. Loving granddad to Kevin (Gabrielle), Ryan and Tricia Kraliz, Kiera Koscak, Cody, Jordan and Wyatt Kupferschmidt. Dear friend to Elaine Smith of Gravenhurst. Arn spent his early years in Toronto, later moving his young family to Kitchener. He was the owner of Lockhart Office Supply Ltd. in Waterloo before retiring in his 50s. He and his wife travelled the United States and Canada, spending winters in Arizona and then Japanese Gardens, Florida. Summers were spent at the family cottage on Star Lake and later Lake Rosseau. He was quick to laugh, warm and kind, and was very good at seeing the glass as half full. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A service to celebrate the life of Arnold Lockhart was held in the chapel of the W.J. Cavill Funeral Home, Gravenhurst on October 20, 2007. In memory, donations to Hospice Muskoka, the Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka would be appreciated. Following the service, everyone shared memories and stories at the home of Marilyn and Bruno at 250 Lakeview Ave. in Gravenhurst. |
