Incoming president Steve Harper is no stranger to the position as he was president in 1973 and 1982. Outgoing president Jim McConnach thanked the executive, directors, committee heads and all volunteers during his three-year term for their dedicated support, teamwork and many contributions to the continued success of the Fall Fair & Horse Show. Bracebridge Mayor Don Coates brought greetings from the town, congratulated the society on its very successful 140th year and wished it continued success in 2008.
The meeting discussed preliminary plans for the 2008 Fair (Sept. 12, 13, 14) and was pleased to have new members bring their ideas and enthusiasm to the discussion. New members and volunteers are always welcome; please contact secretary Irene Thomson at 645-4223.
